"Most of our first day was spent completing the bus and ferry journey on the way to Pulau Tioman. The students came together in very creative ways to pass the time. A lot of group games were played, such as Sevens, Monopoly Deal, Mafia, and other word games in both English and mother tongues. Some braver members of the group sang or danced to entertain their peers.
When the journey came to an end at roughly 5pm, the group was rewarded with a picturesque aquamarine landscape followed by a beautiful slow sunset at the Salang Indah Resort. Qin mentioned that "the ocean is quite beautiful and the food is okay" while David referred to today's experience as "very exciting".
After dinner, the group was briefed on the next two days' activities: snorkeling, coral reef protection, hiking, and visiting a turtle sanctuary on the island. Minchan said he is "interested to find out more about life in Tioman and look(s) forward to having a good time".
